I can’t tell you how much I love backyard weddings!  When Jocelyn and I sat down to discuss the details of her and Dylan’s wedding, I knew it was going to be amazing.  She explained to me that they were getting married at Dylan’s parents’ house, and that their property was beautiful.  A week later when I went to check it out, I was relieved to see that she wasn’t over exaggerating, (which you’ll soon see too).  We all joked around about the weather cooperating and left it at that.  Well… low and behold Friday (the day of their wedding) rolls around and so does a big black thunderstorm.  The storm came raging in from the west and I was pretty much in a panic, to put it lightly.   As I’m driving on Stoney Trail to get to the ceremony, the hail came pelting down so hard that traffic came to a complete stop in the middle of the road… after about five long minutes (that felt like hours), everyone started moving and I made it there on time.  Sure enough, the rain stopped just in time for the ceremony, and we were able to take full advantage of the weather and their gorgeous property!

Jocelyn and Dylan (and Mother Nature), thanks for an amazing day!  You guys rock!

Awesome job! Love the portraits of the couple.

I love how small and intimate this wedding is! It makes me think of my own wedding. These are beautiful – I love the ones with the truck (but maybe I’m just a truck kind of girl!).
