Brianne and Chris had the most beautiful intimate wedding at the Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club this past summer. Because they had a more intimate wedding, they set up dessert and champagne for their post ceremony celebration. I absolutely adored the detail and thought they put into their dessert table. Since their pups were unable to attend, they incorporated them in as well! Chris is from Ireland, so having his family visit for their wedding was so special and memorable. I always love hearing and learning about others’ cultures and lifestyles so it was such a treat getting to know his family!

After their ceremony and dessert, we headed off to one of my favourite locations for wedding photos in Canmore. Being that we began their portraits mid-day, we lucked out with the overcast! Earlier on in the wedding planning process, I’ll let my clients know ahead of time that we’ll be working heavily around light and the quality of light on their wedding day. I try to find open shade as much as possible. If we’re shooting in the summer anywhere from 12-2pm as the sun will be on top of their heads. The trees and tall buildings are definitely our friends in those instances! Capturing wedding photos when the sun is a little lower, that’ll give us the opportunity to capture some beautiful backlit images.

Congrats Bri & Chris! Here’s to an incredible future ahead!
