A Quiet Anniversary Session in Fish Creek Park

It was such a pleasure meeting (and working with) Christina and JR for their Calgary anniversary session! We were originally supposed to shoot in Kananaskis, but had to think of a new plan after Parks Canada put out a bear advisory for the area. It actually wasn’t just one bear, but several. The risks just weren’t worth it, so, Fish Creek Park it was! During their session, we got on the topic of traveling, and that’s when they told me about one of their favourite countries to visit – Japan. It’s been at the top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and after chatting with them, I want to go even more. JR was even lucky enough to snag tickets to the Taylor Swift concert there for Christina which, surprisingly (to me), was cheaper than going to one of her concerts in Canada! I made a mental note not to mention this to my daughter, or I’d never hear the end of it. Despite the lack of mountains and the swarms of mosquitoes that ate us alive, their session turned out beautifully!
